Leading 4-0 entering the bottom of the seventh inning, the Worcester Tornadoes put the game out of reach with an eight-run onslaught, giving them a 12-0 lead. Brockton managed five runs in the top of the eighth, but it wasn't nearly enough to overcome the deficit as they fell 12-5. Worcester 1B Chris Colabello was the star offensively, going 2-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and four RBI. DH Gordon Gronkowski and C Alex Trezza also homered for Worcester and combined to go 5-for-10 with four runs scored and three RBI. Tornadoes starting pitcher Chris Farley tossed six scoreless innings before allowing four runs in the seventh. He allowed just two hits and fanned seven in his seven innings to improve to 5-3 on the year.
